Research:
My professional and academic research interests have focused on solid organ transplantation, informatics and clinical laboratory automation, which include but are not limited to, robotics, information systems, medical utilization management and outcomes optimization.  Our laboratory automation and informatics research centers around the financial performance of the clinical laboratory. Included in ongoing research are the development and implementation of automation technology designed to reduce the cost per laboratory test results produced. We are also investigating methods to use rules based applications to minimize test volume while optimizing the patient outcome.
